Will the Samsung OLED TV Gain More Traction?

According to CNET, the growth of the OLED TV is much slower than was initially expected.  Although the launch of the new Samsung OLED TV seemed to be received well, it still hasn't hit the market place like manufacturers have hoped. "The rollout of OLED televisions has been slower than industry expectations due to high manufacturing costs and a lack of technology breakthroughs, according to a new report."

Even though OLEDs are much more environmentally-friendly than LCD, they are still much more expensive and manufacturers are having a difficult time cutting costs in order to make this product consumer-friendly as well.  Until manufacturers can learn to produce the OLED TV at a more more cost-efficient rate, the OLED will only remain in a small amount of products from Samsung and LG.
